This is a topic where you can talk about the HTTYD movies.
I'll kick it off. Has anyone seen HTTYD: The Hidden World yet?

Nope. I saw the first movie when I was about six and have been traumatized ever since. (Not really but I wasn't a huge fan) The books are good. I'd like to learn dragonesse.

Heh, neither did I. (I haven't actually read them yet but my friends have them on audio so I listen sometimes. They're really cool)

They're really cool) Then we are tree who only knew about the movies and never heard of the books before. In my opinion you can say that you have read the book if you listened to the audiobook. I actually think that it's quite enjoyable to listen on audiobooks. That said it's something special about reading a physical book and audiobooks are definitely not an substitute to books but rather an complement. Sometimes books fits better and sometimes audiobooks do that. Especially on the go I think that audiobooks are much better and it's also always quite cosy to hear someone tell the story for you. Our family have a subscription on Storytel (kind of like audible but by an nordic company) witch makes it super easy to listen to audiobooks. It's just for me to open the phone, pick almost any book without any and extra charge and then start listening to it in my headphones. Sometimes I even listen to some parts of an book and read some parts, I think that's my favorite way to read a book. :)

Yeah, I agree that listening to it counts as reading it but I've only listened to little bits here and there, not the whole thing. Add all that I've listened to together and I've probably only done about half an hour.

My younger brothers listen to the audio books, but for some reason I always loved reading. (that's just my personal opinion though. :-P)

Yeah, little sisters. *pauses to wait for requests to read a story from said sisters* No. That's unusual. I think they're on the computer.

Well, yes. We have Kindle, which is effectively books on the computer. I think they were probably either watching Youtube or looking at birds on Trademe though. (They're strange children)
