You should reread them. Most public libraries have the series, if you don't have them.

I do like Brotherband, but as I read more and more of RA I think I see what you mean. I'd say it was because in RA they normally go traveling to other places and kingdoms, but they do that in Brotherband too. Hmm...

I think it's the character development. In RA, the characters are always improving and facing new challenges. In Brotherband, after Scorpion Mountain anyway, it gets a bit boring. They seem a bit too powerful and never really get into proper trouble.
