Recently I found that someone calld Zhyr on tumblr have made a collage of some typical wisdoms said by no other than Halt O'Carrick . I would like to know which one you like to most. Personally I think that number 3 and 5 are my favorites, don't really know why tho.
“Once you best a man, never gloat. Be generous and find something in his actions to praise. He won't enjoy being bested, but he'll make a good face of it. Show him you appreciate it. Praise can win you a friend. Gloating will only ever make enemies.”
Good ol' Halt has some wise saying. It's a lot to live up to isn't it @halt?
"Now for wrath, now for ruin, and a red dawn!" Theoden, Lord of the Rings. "They say there are two ways to be fooled...One way is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe what is." Viggo Grimborn, Dragons: Race to the Edge. Grimmel: "I've hunted down every Nightfury, except yours. Hand him over!"
Hiccup: "I'll never give him up!"
Grimmel: "Then I'll destroy everything you love. You're nothing without your dragon."
Cool quotes, though I don't think number four is a Halt saying. That saying comes from Celtica. If Halt did say it, he was quoting it for Will to demonstrate how annoying and superstitious the Celts were.
"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement, you shall condemn. This is the Heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me." says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17
"I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness. I will take hold of your hand and will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the gentiles." Isaiah 42:6
